2003年11月28日，在中国海南三亚举行的第53届世界小姐大赛产生第一个单项奖——“沙滩美人”奖，19岁的爱尔兰小姐Rosanna Diana Davison以良好的外形、优雅的体态和极富亲和力的微笑，在喜来登度假酒店阳光充沛的海滩上击败其他105位世界小姐参赛佳丽首先进入十佳，随后夺得第一名。同时成为第一位最终进入总决赛的20名选手之一。Rosanna说：“能从如此多美丽的女孩中被选出，感觉真得很棒！”在12月8日的总决赛中，Rosanna Diana Davison夺得冠军。Rosanna从五、六岁的起体育就很突出；曾代表她所在中学在全爱尔兰比赛中为学校争光。她以优异成绩进入都柏林大学学习考古学，社会学和艺术史，当她完成她的第一年学习时，代表爱尔兰参加世界小姐竞选。她的目标是读完大学，从事艺术，时装，运动科学和营养方面的工作。她的兴趣爱好是旅游，游泳，滑水，曲棍球，网球，篮球，体育，爬山，滑雪，对芭蕾有研究，所以喜欢芭蕾舞和现代舞，她还是一位雕塑家，喜欢音乐，看电影和美术。
