在4座格莱美奖、4座全英音乐奖加持和两张专辑累积全球1700万张销售之后，这张费时一年半筹划而成的全新专辑《X&Y》，或许正是掳获娇妻-葛妮丝派特洛的秘密武器！

这次Coldplay的新专辑中除了自己独特地风格外还会融入其他电子音乐等音乐元素。Coldplay为制作这张新专辑可谓煞费苦心，不但选择在伦敦录音，而且邀请Danton Supple和KenNelson等著名制作人来制作，相信这次Coldplay一定会给歌迷们一个惊喜。

专辑的封套的设计与1990年的一款电脑游戏Teris很相像，这背后究竟蕴藏了什么特殊含义不得而知。不过最重要的是音乐本身，主唱Chris注入了无限伤感情绪，动人的嗓音唱着温柔的旋律，从而在Coldplay的歌曲中经常能体会出一种忧郁的感觉。
