Within Temptation是一支来自荷兰的女声金属乐队，现已在世界范围内获得了很大成功。现成员为：

（鼓手）。Within Temptation可说是一支表现出色的荷兰美声派Gothic乐团，汲取前辈The Gathering的悠扬气氛作风，再更专注于乐曲的情感呈现，并以女主唱Sharon飘渺的动人音色为主轴，2000年末所发表的第二张专辑，不论在各方面都较上张专辑成熟相当多，乐团焦点Sharon明显能听出她唱腔上的进步，除了音色更为浑美外，在转音及高音表现上也都更显出色！而这张专辑的乐风走向则变得更为柔美，金属成份不但大为地减少，Death腔的运用也已不复见，改而加入部份男女唱诗班的合唱演出，曲式的编写可说是针对Sharon所量身订作，完全突显出Sharon的美妙音色。
Within Temptation的分割风格大致可以确定为Gothic Rock中的Dark Wave一支。Dark Wave和Gothic Metal同为Gothic Rock即早期哥特音乐的衍生儿。Dark Wave后来又大致分化出四个后代，分别为Ethereal（所谓的仙音），Medieval，Dark Ambient和Neo Classical。Etherea的主要特点是带有十分缥缈、空灵的主音，所以这一派乐队一般都有一位不食人间烟火般的清丽，脱俗的女主唱。而在乐队配乐方面，则会多用键盘营造出一种凄美，哀怨的唯美境界（像Witin Temptation的Our Farewell和Forgiven）。
近些年Within Temptation的风格有所改变，他们的新专辑里就尝试了Folk和Power的曲风。像为网游魔域编年史所作的The Howling就带有明显的民谣金属的感觉，而Hands of Sorrow和What Have You Done则注入了力量金属的特点。

《Black Symphony》这张Live专辑，则于08年9月23日由大名鼎鼎的Roadrunner唱片公司发行，专辑在歌迷中享有很高的美誉度。名团名场，而且加上本身乐队的表现极佳，是值得一听的专辑。
