钱颖一（1956年4月-），北京人，祖籍浙江，毕业于哈佛大学，经济学家。[1]

人物观点
虽然中国的改革和转轨受到了一些关注，但对于许多经济学家来说，他们对中国的改革成功不能理解。抛开意识形态不论，中国的成功与已有理论的许多方面相违背。结构的调整不仅是三方面比例的调整，背后一定有深层次的原因，需要深层次的改革，那就是要调整政府与居民，与企业，与市场的关系。这个任务不完成的话，结构调整是非常困难的。（证券时报网快讯中心）
2012年，钱颖一在中国发展高层论坛上发言认为，中国加快经济结构调整，不仅表现在要解决投资过高、消费过低和经济增长过度依赖出口三方面的比例失衡问题，还需要推进深层次的改革。（新华网）
人物评价
多年来，教育问题一直是中国社会的焦点问题，很早就引起了钱颖一的关注和思考。丰富的求学经历（清华大学、哥伦比亚大学、耶鲁大学、哈佛大学）和执教经验（斯坦福大学、马里兰大学、伯克利加州大学、清华大学），让这位经济学家深入了解国内外教育的实际情况，中国教育的问题所在，并积极在一所学院探索教育改革的实践。担任院长8年多来，钱颖一没有再带过一个研究生和博士生，也没有申请过一个研究课题，而是集中精力，在清华大学经济管理学院推进教育改革，履行一个院长的职责。（中华工商时报评）[19]钱颖一是经济学家，但在他的笔下和演讲中，却常常高频次地出现“法治”一词。十多年来，每当论及经济“转轨”和市场经济，他往往要强调“法治”的不可或缺作用。（新民晚报评）[20]
